Biolab carries out more than 300 preventive examinations during Blue November<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its commitment to employee well-being, Biolab Farmac\u00eautica conducted Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) tests at all of its facilities. In S\u00e3o Paulo, the company partnered with Labi Sa\u00fade; at its facility in Pouso Alegre (MG), the initiative was carried out with the support of Unimed Sul Mineira. In total, more than 300 tests were performed in support of the Blue November campaign, known worldwide for raising awareness about prostate cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the National Cancer Institute (INCA), 71,000 cases are reported each year, making it the second most common type of cancer among men, behind only skin cancer. Early detection is essential for a prompt diagnosis and effective treatment. In this case, the PSA blood test is an important tool, as it detects the presence of a protein produced by the prostate; when found in high levels, this should be investigated because it may be linked to the development of the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is in line with the operating model of Biolab Farmac\u00eautica\u2019s People & Management division, which places people at the center of decision-making and prioritizes actions that ensure quality of life, safety, and recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
