Biolab Farmac\u00eautica is introducing a new version of the medication Vonau Flash to the Brazilian market; it is now also available in a mint flavor.
With ondansetron as its active ingredient, Biolab\u2019s antiemetic is indicated for the prevention and treatment of vomiting and nausea caused by various factors.
Vonau Flash\u00ae is the result of a partnership between Biolab and the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), which hold its patent. The product was innovative, transforming the market and causing fewer adverse effects in patients (compared to other antiemetic molecules). It dissolves quickly and easily, without the need to drink water, which is a major advantage, since water can trigger vomiting in people experiencing nausea and vomiting.
Vonau Flash\u00ae Mint is available at pharmacies throughout Brazil in 4 mg and 8 mg packages containing 10 tablets in the Flash format (patented orodispersible).

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Children under 2 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS: This product should not be used as a substitute for nasogastric aspiration. Patients with phenylketonuria and nursing mothers should use this product with caution. Pregnant women should not use this product without medical advice. In patients with severe hepatic impairment, it is not recommended to exceed a daily dose of 8 mg. DRUG INTERACTIONS:
inducers or inhibitors of cytochrome P450 enzymes. Adverse reactions: headache, constipation, fatigue, diarrhea, skin rash. For more information on uncommon reactions, refer to the Vonau Flash\u00ae package insert. DOSAGE: Adult use: 16 mg of ondansetron (2 tablets of 8 mg).
Pediatric use: For patients over 11 years of age, the recommended dose is 4 to 8 mg of ondansetron (1 to 2 4-mg tablets). For children aged 2 to 11 years: a dose of 4 mg of ondansetron (1 4-mg tablet) is recommended.
