BRIEF DESCRIPTION/INDICATION
Pioglitazone hydrochloride 30mg is an antidiabetic medication indicated together with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control (blood sugar levels) in patients with type II (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus. This is a type of diabetes that usually develops in adulthood. Pioglitazone hydrochloride can be used alone or in combination with other diabetes medications such as sulphonylureas, metformin or insulin, especially when diet and exercise combined with pioglitazone hydrochloride do not result in adequate blood glucose control.
