New formulation of simethicone hits the market with higher concentration

Avert Saúde Humana, Biolab Genéricos' product line, has just launched LISTOGAS Gotas, a new formulation of simethicone drops with a concentration of 150 mg/mL, aimed at the rapid relief of gastrointestinal symptoms such as pain, abdominal bloating, flatulence and cramps.

The product is indicated for the treatment of discomfort caused by the accumulation of gas in the digestive tract and can also be used to prepare patients for exams such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Available in a 15 mL orange-flavored bottle, LISTOGAS Drops offers a more concentrated version compared to traditional presentations. This feature can facilitate administration, especially in contexts that require a smaller volume per dose or precise dosage adjustments.

According to data from consultancy IQVIA, drop products currently account for 47% of simethicone sales in Brazil, surpassing capsules. This scenario highlights a growing preference for liquid formats, which offer more flexibility and are widely accepted by a variety of audiences, including children and the elderly.

With the new launch, Avert expands its LISTOGAS range, which already includes a soft capsule version, consolidating itself as a complete option in the segment of products aimed at digestive health.
